While we’re definitely big fans of Millennial Pink, we sense a new color trend emerging on the wedding scene for 2019—yellow! According to Glamour at least 20 high-end designers debuted yellow garments in their spring 2019 collections, and Aspen Gold was recently named the yellow for the season over at Pantone. We couldn’t be more thrilled to see this fantastic color enjoying the spotlight on the runway, and hopefully, on the aisle! Inspired by a mutual love of the color, Monica Orr teamed up with Plume vintage boutique and La Tulipe to create playful, retro wedding inspiration in hues of yellow and gold for this issue of Fancier Magazine at Boxed & Burlap.
Boxed & Burlap is a gorgeous, unique, newly renovated event space in the Lake Geneva area that offers two primary wedding spaces—the barn and Batten House. This lovely shoot features the larger of the two, which accommodates up to 300 guests. Learn more about the event spaces here.
This fashion-focused shoot gave us the perfect opportunity to feature multiple bridal and bridesmaid looks. We love this sweet, vintage wedding dress paired with this bell sleeve dress straight out of the 70’s! Shop this look for your vintage wedding over at Plume!
We get really excited about a unique alternative to the more traditional “wedding arch” and this unique idea for a ceremony is no exception! La Tulipe used wild textures, yellow blooms and moss to create an interesting and playful space for a sweet vow exchange. (Oh, and isn’t this modern, vintage-inspired wedding dress from Miss Ruby Boutique stunning?)
We fancy anything custom-made, but we’re particularly big fans of custom jewelry! We tend to obsess over the smallest details and truly appreciate it when a concept is carried through. Order custom jewelry like this for your unique wedding day with our gal Tasha Rae!
We’re obsessed with good table styling and honestly, this one has it all. Monica Orr crushed it with this design from the glass tabletop, modern-retro chairs, velvet napkins in rust orange, and of course the fantastic vintage glassware in whimsical yellow from Relics Vintage Rentals. The design is completed with low centerpieces in hues of yellow and peach by La Tulipe.
This cheery, organic stationery by Bayview Printing Co. perfectly complements the “wild flower” vibe we’re getting from this shoot. We especially love the layering of golden swatches and the rough texture, giving this paper suite a cozy feel.
Perhaps our favorite pop of yellow in this retro wedding shoot—whimsical vintage glassware from Relics Vintage Rentals! Not only is yellow glassware an unexpected choice, but the effect of layering these fresh tones with rust and peach is frankly magnificent!
To wrap up this shoot filled with colorful details, this team styled yet another fabulous look for our bride and bridesmaid. We like to imagine this fabulous yellow garment from Plume on a real bride, making a cool exit in Boxed & Burlap’s very own vintage car!
