Since the launch of Fancier Magazine two years ago we have sought to showcase fine wedding professionals for what they really are—artists! The team behind this unique shoot for our upcoming print edition applied this concept by drawing inspiration from Monet’s work, which influenced the soft color palette and painterly textures of the florals, cake and stationery suite. Et Voila Events styled this simply romantic vignette at Boxed & Burlap to inspire the whimsical, yet sophisticated bride with a *thing* for runway fashion—if hearing “Manolo Blahnik” piques your interest then this one’s for you!
Boxed & Burlap is a gorgeous, unique, newly renovated event space in the Lake Geneva area that offers two primary wedding spaces—the barn accommodates up to 300 guests and Batten House accommodates up to 50. Learn more about the event spaces here.
We seriously love a chic, fashion-forward wedding dress with sex appeal. This modern dress from Miss Ruby Boutique features on-trend color and sheer fabric with floral appliqué. Krystal Burns from Salon Rex did a fabulous job of styling our model’s hair multiple ways for a modern windswept aesthetic, and Lustrous Beauty Studio applied cool tones and a hint of sparkle for a youthful, yet bold bridal look.
Coqui Paperie drew inspiration directly from Monet’s work and incorporated textural, hand-painted elements to this romantic stationery suite. We especially love the contrast between the elegant calligraphy and the rough, raw edges!
We’re obsessed with unique alternatives to the more traditional “wedding arch” and this avant-garde idea for a ceremony is no exception! Erika at Flowers for Dreams crushed it with this super on-trend design reminiscent of an art gallery installation. We love how the wild textures and unique color palette of this design create an interesting contrast to the interior space, like wild flowers growing from the concrete floor!
To drive the “art gallery” concept home, this team featured stunning floral arrangements atop concrete pedestals. We love this simple, yet striking idea for decor at a real wedding!
If we had to pick a favorite wedding day moment, gathering at the table would be it. Because we know that designing a modern tablescape that feels cozy can be a challenge, we’re really appreciating this tablescape by Et Voila Events and Flowers for Dreams! The color palette, clean place settings and delicate florals bring a modern aesthetic to the table, while the layered fabrics and rustic furniture give it a cozy, inviting feel.
This incredible cake duo by Julie Michelle Cakes is giving us major heart eyes! The frosting detail on the smaller cake perfectly emulates the style of a Monet painting while the larger cake features a gorgeous, show-stopping, edible fabric draping.
