Bigger isn’t always better—especially for those couples who prefer the intimacy of a small group over the hoopla of a party. At Fancier Magazine we adore intimate events and elopements, and fortunately, the private dining space inside Tre Rivali provided the perfect canvas for our team to showcase an extravagant “micro” wedding. If you thought eloping meant sacrificing style and decadence, think again—this stunning vignette offers small yet stylish wedding inspiration with velvet linens, lush florals, foiled stationery and candlelight for just eight special guests!
Putting a modern touch on Edwardian era styling, Monica with Morr Events designed the small room for intimate vows and cozy dinner using vintage gems from Relics Vintage Rentals. Sally with Milwaukee Flower Co. filled in the space for an autumnal, floral-centric affair (our favorite kind! ) using roses, amber maple and Queen Anne’s lace. To tie everything together, Bayview Printing Co. designed a gorgeous, luxe stationery suite with foiled insect wings, reminiscent of the Art Nouveau movement.

As we’ve said before, we love to see photography for photography’s sake. We’re pretty much obsessed with the gorgeous bathtubs in the Kimpton Journeyman’s suites, so naturally, we couldn’t resist throwing in some greenery and a charcoal bath bomb! The truth is, a girl doesn’t often get the opportunity to hire a professional photographer for the day—why not make the most of it? If you prefer a little sex appeal, consider a dramatic bathtub shot on the morning of your wedding day!
We fall head-over-heels when we see design elements thoughtfully carried out. For this Edwardian inspired shoot, insects are depicted in the details for an Art Nouveau throwback. Tasha Rae did a fabulous job of handcrafting this unique beetle choker and earring set, finishing it off with black velvet ribbon. If you’re planning a wedding with unique design elements, consider commissioning a customized jewelry set for your special day!
We’re totally IN LOVE with the detailing on this luxe stationery set by Bayview Printing Co. In addition to the invitations and dinner menu, this fabulous suite also includes a custom printed set of vow books—imagine writing your personal wedding vows in these beauties!
We’ll say it again—eloping certainly doesn’t mean sacrificing style. Morr Events and Milwaukee Flower Co. show us how to pull off a fashionable “micro” wedding by making fantastic use of this small space at Tre Rivali.
To elevate a table set for four guests, we’re loving the decision to pair and layer different colors of velvet. From the moody grey table linens and rust-brown napkins to the red vintage chairs, these lush textures create a cozy, inviting atmosphere in a small space.
We always flip for an interesting cake alternative and this beautiful croquembouche from Le Reve Cafe is no exception! Consider a unique dessert to truly compliment the theme of your wedding day and dinner choices.
To finish it all with a pretty bow, this team concludes with a poetic, experimental lighting installation created by arranging cut flowers on a retro overhead projector. We think this is an incredible, cost effective way to add visual interest to a space—small or big!
